Symposia subjects
The overall theme of the EMCSR 2014 is broken down into 3 subthemes:
I. Sustainability and Development
II. Emergence and Design
III. Complexity and Strategy
The overall focus of the EMCSR 2014 is broken down into 3 subfoci:
A. Applications (systems praxis)
B. Bridges (linking systems praxis to systems thinking by feedback and feed forward)
C. Concepts (systems thinking: theoretical and methodological foundations of systems praxis)
Each Symposium can thus be identified by its location in the matrix built by themes and foci:
Symposium [ROMAN NUMERALS INDICATING THE THEME].[CAPITAL LETTER INDICATING THE FOCUS].[RUNNING NUMBER WITHIN MATRIX BOX]
EXAMPLE: “Symposium I.A.1” signifies the first symposium that deals with applications in sustainability and development.
The Calls for Papers are listed according to the identifier.
Positioning in the programme
The final incorporation of symposia in the programme is dependent on the number of accepted abstracts and is subject to further adaptations.
